Im off to Florence today to meet up with my ma and pa which im excited about! But really sad to be having to leave the beautiful city of Milan and everyone here - i have truly made a new family here, it really feels like we are one so its going to be tough to say goodbye and to not have them all around all the time! We literally have all spent a month together doing everything together - living, school and weekend travel - so i feel like their all a part of me now!
Dont know when i will have internet again (Italians tend to think your a terroist if you want to use internet all the time) so when i do ill try to post some more photos and an update of my travels with the rentals!
Love you all xoxox

Third Week in Uni
Hi all!!!
So i am having the most incredible time here - update of last week (week three in my uni course) will be in this blog :) i am halfway almost through week 4 at the moment which is my last week of being at uni :( then ill be off with my parents again :) but more on that later!
Monday: Had uni all day - first one of Agriculture in the morning which was actually really interesting - it is so much more than i thought it was. one really cool thing the European Union does is a POD system which is where they have product of district - where if you want to make a certain type of food - like parmigiana cheese - you can only do it in the parmigiana region :) cool eh? and our lecturer also feed us parmigiana cheese so he is awesome. Then at lunch we went and bought uni jumpers :) hehehe. in the afternoon we had our final SMEs class and then just went home and chilled for the night studying for our exam.
Tuesday: Had a fashion and design field trip to the Triennale Design Museum which is full of really funky furniture and appliances and house stuff. Then we went to Museo Zucchi which is a place that has all these antique handblocks are stored that were used to imprint on fabric - they were amazing! handmade, and such detail - the paisly print came from this form of printing. Then we got to make our our bags with a block and hammer it onto the bag and put the print on ourselves (Torz this may be one of your presents!). Then that afternoon we had dinner at home and studied again whoooo!
Wednesday: Today we had a half day at uni in the morning and we had agribusiness. It was a rainy day that day so we spent the afternoon in the apartment.
Thursday: Another half day of uni. Our first one of Art and Business which is based on contemporary art whichhhh i will be honest i am not to fond of :( i would have rathered learned about ancient art seeing as i'm in Italy!! Then in the afternoon Rachel Paris and I went shopping :) hehehee. I ended up shopping alone which was good as i could take my time - and buy lots - which i did :)
Friday: Had another feild visit - this time for agriculutre and business - where we went to the region where Cinque Terre is - the drive on the bus was about 3 hours and it was so beautiful! such amazing scenery! We went to a chocolate factory first which is a family owned business and the owner was so funny, he loved that we were almost all girls and kept saying in italian to our lecturer how much he appreciated woman and beauty. We got to taste some chocolate and learn about how it is made and where it is scoured from - then we got chocolate gifts too :) Then we went off to an olive oil factory that is also family owned and got to tour around it and learn all about their history and the products they make - they provide oil to the pope and one of the first Kings! Then i got some cream and bronzer that has olive oil in it!
On the way home we got held up in a traffic jam for a good hour - people were all out of their cars sitting on the road and talking to each other - Rachel didn't even realise that we were stopped - Paris got up and was like i want to get off and Rachel looks around and says 'oh have we stopped?'
We got back pretty late so we all just packed because saturday morning we were going to Switzerland!!
Saturday: Woke up super early!! and got the train to SWITZERLAND!!! we arrived in interlaken about 930am and the train ride there i swear we were all (there were 7 of us that went) gapping with our mouths open wide - it was so beautiful! the mountains had glaziers and snow on the peaks. We then got the ferry to where our hostel was - it is such an amazingly beautiful place - i honestly felt like ...ok im going to give my explination of Switzerland....i felt like i was in a bubble and in the bubble i can see everything and it all looks real to me, but then anyone outside of the bubble looking in would see it as a Disney movie because everything looks so fake! On the ferry ride we got a bottle of wine to celebrate being in such a beautiful place, and we were accidently sitting in first class and got told to leave hahaha. Then we arrived to our hostel which was sitting right across the road from the most bluest prittiest lake ever and our room looked out right over it!!!
Then Paris and I got picked up to go PARAGLIDING!!!!!!! The owner and guy who i went paragliding with was Swizz but married to a Aussie girl so he spents half the year in Switzerland and half in Australia. We got to the top of the mountain and Paris almost died because she sat down and then a person went to take off and the sheet got caught up in her and the people who were going to jump off the cliff almost died too!!!! crazy!!
Then it took me three times to take off becasue the sheet thing keept not opening up properly! Scary!!! but we finally took off and holy moly what a feeling!!! it was incredible, you ligitimally feel as though your flying!!!
He let me steer it and we took a video and i was allowed my camera too! then towards landing he made it feel like a rollercoaster tossing and turning - i screamed so much!!!!
That avo Paris and i looked around the shops in interlaken and got some gifts :) then headed back to the hostel for dinner right over the road from where we were staying.
I was attacked by a dog!!!! so scary! it jumped up on me with teeth out growing and Paris luckily pulled me back but i was so shocked i burst into tears!!! So the owner bought my dessert and drink!
Sunday: We had breakfast at the hostel which was pretty yummy, then we got the bus into town - the cool thing about the weekend was the saturday was super sunny and warm and then the sunday was freezing and raining so it was kinda speical to get to see it in summer and winter versions!
We roamed around the town for majority of the day doing shopping (cant say what!) had lunch at a touristy resturant and our waiter was wearing cow pants lol. We had swizz cheese fondu and chocolate fondu!!! Then we studyed for the majority of the train ride home -ick!!!!
Monday: Had the morning off so studied for our exam that was that afternoon - and knowing my luck one of the questions was on a model that i looked at and said 'hrm i dont get that, ill ignore it'......not smart of me!!! But i think i did ok....i hope!!! Then after the exam i went and did something crazy.....not telling. If you know me you'll find out when im home :) hehehehe.
Tuesday: Had a half day of Art and Business which was a feild trip to a bank that holds mass amounts of contemporay art as part of their business plan to invoke creativity and conversation in the workplace. It was interesting but im not sure if i liked it... a lot looked like what anyone could make. The afternoon it stormed massivley!!! so i did my paper which was my final assignement and sent it off :)
Wednesday: Had another half day with another art and business visit but this time to a contemporary museum. this one was super cool!!! so many crazy light installations and one really cool piece that was massive buildings made out of wired concrete and tilted - i cant really explain it - ill post a photo. It was that trip i kind of figured out contempoary art - i feel like it is more about the artists creating something to have others interpret how they want and to develop a feeling for it.
And that is what day i am up to!!! The afternoon i sunbaked on the balcony - got stared at by many - a whole office got up and looked at me but i ignored them! Then i wrote this!! which took forever! sorry it is super long!!!!
I am now off to get ready to go out for a drink with my two american girls - hannah and hannah rose :)
I will post some photos tomorrow probably - having space problems with my camera and computer though so some most recent ones might not be posted till i have mum to help figure it out!!!
MISSING EVERYONE LOTS!!!
